Actua Golf now has global cross‑platform leaderboards - something the original hardware could never support.

London, April 2026 - Antstream Arcade is expanding its library with a set of classic golf titles, including Actua Golf, now enhanced with two exclusive challenge modes and global leaderboards.

Originally released in 1996, Actua Golf was part of the early wave of 3D sports games. While it didn’t feature licensed golfers, it became known for its presentation and the commentary of the late Peter Alliss.

Antstream’s new challenge modes introduce bite‑sized, competitive gameplay, letting players compete worldwide - a feature impossible on the original hardware.

The update also includes Zany Golf, Chip Shot: Super Pro Golf, and several early Atari, Amstrad and DOS titles.

Steve Cottam, CEO and Founder of Antstream Arcade, said:

“Retro sports games are a huge part of gaming history, and golf titles were some of the most innovative of their time. Preserving them - and making them instantly playable - is exactly why Antstream exists.”
